Vintage Sunday: Rescued Embroideries

Vintage Sunday - Embroideries

I’m not sure yet what I’m going to do with these, but I rescued this little pile of vintage embroideries (tablecloths, a tea towels, etc.) from the charity shop I volunteer for – because they’re all stained or worn, they were going to go into the trash. How sad! I couldn’t let that happen, right?!

These are so amazeing. Who would throw so many hours of beautiful hand stitchery in the trash. Our heritage is being thrown away. Thank you for rescuing these beauties. You know what these would look gorgeous in a crazy quilt. Maybe you could start collecting these beauties until you have enough to make a gorgeous floral crazy quilt wall hanging. Hugs.

Oh, you lucky, lucky lady. Depending on the size of the undamaged areas, these will make great pillow tops or pin cushions or dolly dresses or aprons. You will have such fun!

I due that quite often and use them in other projects as accent pieces. I would love to start collecting a few for a quilt idea I’ve had in mind head for a very long time.
